Kogi High Court Refutes Claim of Deregistering NDC
The Kogi State High Court has dismissed rumours that it ordered the deregistration of the National Democratic Congress. A statement from the court’s information office clarified that no case on party registration or deregistration was ever heard or decided by the court. It warned that spreading such false reports undermines judicial integrity. The court urged content creators and the public to verify information before sharing. It stressed that future dissemination of misleading claims about judges will not be tolerated. Separately, a recent ruling by Justice Isah Dashen set aside an earlier judgment on the NDC’s status for failing to hear all interested parties. The substantive suit will now resume with INEC, the Peace Movement Party and the NDC as named parties.
