Kano Pillars Name Daniel Ogunmodede as New Technical Adviser Ahead of NPFL Season

Kano Pillars Football Club has appointed Daniel Ogunmodede, popularly known as “Ijaball,” as its Technical Adviser ahead of the 2026/2027 Nigeria Premier Football League season. In a statement issued on Friday in Kano, the club’s media director said this move is part of a wider restructuring to strengthen the technical bench and boost performance in both domestic and continental competitions. Ogunmodede, who previously coached Remo Stars, succeeds Muhammad Babaganaru. Kano Pillars finished 15th last season with 48 points from 38 matches. Management believes Ogunmodede’s arrival will be key to returning the team to top contention in the NPFL.

If Ogunmodede focuses on integrating younger talents and solid defensive drills early on, Kano Pillars could start the season with a more consistent lineup.
