Ogene Labels Kenneth Okonkwo 'Actor Playing a Script' over Peter Obi Criticism

Hon. Afam Ogene has dismissed Kenneth Okonkwo’s recent criticism of Peter Obi as politically motivated. Ogene, who now represents Ogbaru Federal Constituency and joined the NDC, spoke in an interview on SYMFONI TV. He described Okonkwo as “simply an actor” following a script set by political interests. Ogene argued that Okonkwo’s comments should not be taken seriously. He insisted that the only change is the stage on which the actor performs. He maintained that Obi remains focused on issues affecting ordinary Nigerians. According to Ogene, the former governor still enjoys widespread grassroots support. The remarks come amid growing political realignments ahead of the 2027 general elections.
