Michael Eric Hosts Lagos Basketball Camp for 50 Young Nigerian Players
D’Tigers assistant captain Michael Eric hosted the Top 50 Elite Basketball Camp in Lagos, bringing together 50 young players and their coaches from academies across Nigeria. Organised by the Erico Sports Legacy Foundation in honour of Eric’s late father, Joe Erico, the one-day camp featured intensive drills, skill sessions, mentoring and competitive exercises. Participants also received basketball shoes, jerseys and training equipment. Eric said the programme is designed to give talented young Nigerians access to quality coaching and development opportunities. Since its launch five years ago, the foundation says it has reached more than 1,000 athletes. The best performers from the camp are expected to be shortlisted for sponsorship opportunities or trials with European clubs.
