Nigerian Navy Intercepts 52,600L of Stolen Crude in Rivers Operation

The Nigerian Navy recovered about 52,600 litres of suspected stolen crude oil during an intelligence-based patrol in Rivers State under Operation Delta Sentinel. Personnel aboard NNS Pathfinder intercepted two wooden boats at Ogoloma in Okrika LGA. A search revealed roughly 250 sacks of crude oil that were poised for illegal offloading. Officers also seized materials intended for illicit refining camps. The Navy’s spokesperson said the raid disrupted economic sabotage and protected vital oil infrastructure. The service reiterated its commitment to ongoing intelligence-driven efforts aimed at dismantling crude theft syndicates and safeguarding Nigeria’s oil assets.
