Navy Seizes 103,500L of Illegal Diesel on Creek-to-Market Route

Navy Seizes 103,500L of Illegal Diesel on Creek-to-Market Route

The Nigerian Navy has uncovered an illicit petroleum distribution link by intercepting over 103,500 litres of suspected illegally refined Automotive Gas Oil in Rivers State. Personnel of NNS PATHFINDER spotted a wooden boat at the APS Limited Jetty in Woji during routine Operation DELTA SENTINEL patrols. They found 375 sacks holding roughly 103,500 litres of diesel ready to enter commercial channels. This operation exposed a creek-to-market fuel route exploited by criminal networks. The boat and its cargo were secured under anti-oil theft procedures. The Navy says it will sustain intelligence-driven patrols to dismantle such networks across the Niger Delta.

One interception won't stop these operations; without transparent follow-up, such seizures risk becoming just another perfunctory exercise.
