Unlocking ₦1 Trillion: A New Project Delivery Model for Southeast Nigeria
On May 20, I presented the lead paper on project delivery and funding strategy at the Southeast Nigeria Regional Development Summit 2026 in Nsukka. I argued that insecurity, inflation and stalled development are symptoms of deeper moral and institutional challenges. What we need is structural redesign—not separatism, but a fairer national framework that allows every region to thrive. I outlined a capital framework capable of unlocking over ₦1 trillion annually for the Southeast. I then called on government, academia, business and civil society to build institutions stronger than political cycles. I appreciate the leadership of UNN’s Vice Chancellor and the summit organizers, including ATDiN and ACE-SPED, for the invitation.
