After Relegation, Bauchi Govt Dissolves Wikki Tourists Board; Haruna Bako Steps In

Bauchi State Government has dissolved the management board of Wikki Tourists FC with immediate effect following the club’s relegation from the NPFL. Governor Bala Mohammed approved the shake-up after reviewing last season’s performance and government interventions to preserve their top-flight status. Alhaji Haruna Bako, former Bauchi State Director of Sports, has been named interim sole administrator in place of Salmanu Abubakar. The move aims to restore public confidence, reposition the club and build a foundation for an immediate return to the elite division. Bako will assume all operations, manage assets and records, and implement strategies for a stronger campaign in the upcoming Nigeria National League season.
