JD Vance Alleges Israeli Officials Are Pushing to Prolong the Iran Conflict

US Vice-President JD Vance told a popular podcast that some members of the Israeli government are secretly funding campaigns to sway American opinion and derail peace talks with Iran. He claimed these efforts aim to keep the conflict going indefinitely. The White House press secretary acknowledged that foreign governments often try to influence US public views. Vance noted there is “exact evidence” that certain Israeli leaders oppose the recent memorandum of understanding with Iran and want to block any ceasefire. Tensions have flared again around the Strait of Hormuz, and both the US and Iran have stepped up military strikes. Vance, who attended key talks in Pakistan and Switzerland, warned that allowing foreign pressure to shape US policy undermines American leadership. Last week, the US House rejected a move to cut aid to Israel, signaling growing debate even among US lawmakers over support for the ally.

It might help to check official lobbying disclosures and campaign filings to verify if any of those funding claims hold up.
