He earned the accolade for an inch-perfect lob from a tight angle against DR Congo in Atlanta on June 27. The 31-year-old forward captured 36% of the vote, edging out Haiti’s Wilson Isidor (26.5%) and Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Kerim Alajbegovic (24.9%). FIFA will hold four more voting rounds after each knockout stage, with a final vote to decide the overall goal of the tournament.
