VC: 15,000 LAUTECH Students Approved for NELFund Loans Yet to Receive Funds
Ahead of LAUTECH’s 18th convocation, Vice-Chancellor Rasaq Kalilu disclosed that of the 19,000 students who applied to the Nigerian Education Loan Fund in 2026, over 15,000 were approved but have not received disbursements. He noted that in 2025, around 5,000 students benefited from the scheme. Kalilu also highlighted convocation figures: out of 10,223 graduands, 137 earned first-class honours, 3,438 graduated with second-class divisions, 1,008 with third class and 37 in the pass category. He added that 7,641 were undergraduates and 2,582 postgraduates, with 1,850 admitted into master’s programmes and 127 into PhD studies.
