Over 8 Million Join ‘No Kings’ Rallies Across US and Worldwide to Protest Trump Actions and Iran War
Millions took to the streets on Saturday in ‘No Kings’ rallies to oppose President Trump’s immigration enforcement and the war in Iran. Organizers say over 8 million people joined more than 3,300 events across the US and beyond. In St. Paul, Minnesota, roughly 200,000 gathered at the Capitol lawn. Bruce Springsteen headlined the flagship event, performing “Streets of Minneapolis” in tribute to two residents killed during federal immigration operations. Singers, activists and elected officials also addressed the crowd. While most protests remained peaceful, some cities reported arrests, tear gas and smoke canisters. Demonstrations ranged from major hubs like New York and Los Angeles to small towns in Idaho, as well as cities in Europe, Latin America and Australia. The White House dismissed the movement as media-driven. Protesters, however, pressed on with demands to end aggressive immigration raids, halt US involvement in Iran and protect civil rights.
