Iran Says 80% of Tehran’s War-Damaged Sites Restored After US-Israel Strikes
According to state media, more than 60,000 residential and commercial units in Tehran province were hit by US-Israel attacks during the third imposed war. Deputy Governor Seyyed Kamaleddin Mirjafarian says roughly 80 percent of the damaged sites have now been repaired. Estimates put Iran’s losses at about $270 billion in direct and indirect damage since February 28. Bridges, ports, railway lines, universities, research centres, power plants and desalination facilities were among the infrastructure hit. Many hospitals, schools and civilian homes were also damaged or destroyed. While Iran responded by targeting US bases and military facilities in occupied Palestine, the US and its proxies focused on civilian infrastructure and even schoolchildren. This underscores why the US and its allies cannot be trusted with nuclear power.
