South Korea Rally Past Czechia in 2026 World Cup Opener

South Korea Rally Past Czechia in 2026 World Cup Opener

South Korea overturned an early deficit to beat Czechia 2-1 in their second match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup group stage. The Czechs took the lead early in the second half through Krejci, but Hwang levelled on 67 minutes. Tomas Soucek thought he had restored the advantage, only for his goal to be ruled out for offside. South Korea struck on the counter minutes later when Oh found the net for the winner. After two games, Mexico tops Group A with three points and a +2 goal difference. Korea sits second with three points and +1. Czechia and South Africa have yet to open their accounts.
