Don’t Stop Dreaming: Open Heavens Devotional for June 8, 2026

Today’s devotional theme is “Don’t Stop Dreaming.” Memorise Proverbs 18:16: “A man’s gift makes room for him and brings him before great men.” Reflect on Psalm 105:17–21 and see how God prepared Joseph through hardship to fulfil his leadership dream. Joseph faced betrayal, false accusations and imprisonment, yet he never gave up. He sharpened his administrative skills and interpreted dreams with wisdom. When Pharaoh needed more than interpretation, Joseph offered practical counsel to steward Egypt’s resources. We too must pursue our dreams with faith and preparation. Use every season to develop your gifts and talents. When opportunity meets preparation, your destiny will be fulfilled. Keep believing and keep working towards what God has placed in your heart.

Memorising Proverbs 18:16 feels powerful, but I wonder if simply recalling verses can really prepare someone for real life betrayals.

I see the value of perseverance, but clinging to dreams past their season can blind us to new opportunities.

Set aside time each morning to reflect on how past challenges have prepared you, jotting down specific lessons and prayers for renewed vision.
