UK Man Jailed for Life for Deliberately Infecting Seven Men, Including Teenagers, with HIV
A court in Newcastle has sentenced a 43-year-old man to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 23 years. He was found guilty of infecting seven victims, including two teenage boys, with HIV. Prosecutors say he targeted vulnerable men between 2016 and 2023 using online platforms and bars. Despite knowing his diagnosis since 2010, he hid his status, refused treatment and deliberately exposed his partners. Victim statements described lasting trauma and daily reminders of abuse. The judge called him a dangerous offender who acted with cruel premeditation and refused to show any remorse. Northumbria Police report that more victims have since come forward and further investigations are ongoing.
