Dembele Backs Messi to Win Another World Cup Trophy

Dembele Backs Messi to Win Another World Cup Trophy — 1 of 3
1 / 3

Paris Saint-Germain winger Ousmane Dembele believes Lionel Messi can still lead Argentina to another World Cup crown. In a recent interview with Marca, Dembele praised Messi’s enduring class, recalling his time together at Barcelona. He insisted that even at 38, Messi can win any trophy he sets his mind on. Dembele also admitted that France will face intense pressure as favourites and urged his side to concentrate on group-stage matches before dreaming of the knockout rounds. Argentina begin their title defence in Group J against Algeria on June 17, while France kicks off Group I action versus Senegal, followed by games against Iraq and Norway.

I agree, his track record and composure could still make him a key factor for Argentina.

Messi's enduring class is undeniable, but it feels challenging to expect the same physical impact at 38.

I dey think, isn't relying on a 38-year-old striker a bit optimistic for that next World Cup?

Argentina should balance Messi's experience with developing younger talents to ensure squad readiness when his career eventually winds down.
