Abia Police Arrest Four Men for Attempting to Demolish Widow’s House
Police in Abia State have arrested four men after they tried to demolish a widow’s home in Umuahia. The widow’s son, Obinna Ndukwe, says 10 men arrived at their property last week and began removing windows and roofing sheets before officers intervened. Four suspects were detained while the rest fled. The police spokesperson says the incident stems from a long-running property dispute now under investigation by the FCID. It is alleged that one party hired local youths to seize the premises and dismantle roofing from other buildings linked to the quarrel. Authorities have warned all parties against taking the law into their own hands. Obinna appealed for continued police efforts to arrest the remaining suspects and protect his family from further threats while the investigation continues.
