Why I Back the Atiku/Makinde Ticket Despite SE Concerns

Why I Back the Atiku/Makinde Ticket Despite SE Concerns — 1 of 2
1 / 2

I support the Atiku/Makinde ticket because it guarantees solid performance in the South East under Governor Hope Uzodinma and other APC leaders. Those same PDP governors like Wike and Akpabio will dominate the South South if this ticket holds. I feel for ADC’s national assembly candidates in the South East—they risk being sidelined. I’d even back them to oversee result collation for BAT. Focusing on regional interest makes sense now rather than waiting eight years for a VP slot. According to the plan, Onwa will become Senate President. This looks like a free ride for APC in the South East.

How could Atiku/Makinde blend APC's South East achievements with PDP's South South ambitions?

Agreed, focusing on economic projects in the East while prioritizing oil revenue sharing in the South South makes sense.

I respect the idea, but merging APC's SE track record with PDP's SS ambitions might be too optimistic.

It's interesting the ticket relies on APC figures in the South East while expecting PDP governors to lead the South South.

I'm not convinced that linking with Hope Uzodinma guarantees real improvement; past alliances haven't always translated into lasting progress.

Focusing on clear policy plans for infrastructure in both regions might reassure voters more than political alliances alone.
