NCWS President Condemns Abduction of Oyo School Children, Demands Swift Rescue

The National President of the National Council of Women Societies has expressed deep outrage over the recent kidnapping of school children in Oyo State. She described the attack as a tragic violation of students’ right to safety and education. She called for the immediate and unconditional release of all abducted pupils and urged security agencies to intensify rescue operations. “No child should live in fear of going to school,” she said. She appealed to the federal and state governments to adopt proactive security measures around schools, including enhanced intelligence gathering, community policing, and rapid response units. While commending current rescue efforts nationwide, she also called on Nigerians to support security agencies with credible information and assured affected families of her solidarity and prayers.
