FG Announces Partial Closure of Ikorodu–Sagamu Road for Major Repairs

FG Announces Partial Closure of Ikorodu–Sagamu Road for Major Repairs

The Federal Government says parts of the Ikorodu–Sagamu Road will be closed from Monday for repair work. The Controller of Works in Ogun State, Mr. Olayiwola Komolafe, explained that Arab Contractors has been directed to return and quickly reconstruct damaged sections between Ikorodu Roundabout and Sabo Junction in Lagos, and the Cement to Coca-Cola stretch towards Sagamu. Traffic will run on diverted lanes under a counterflow system. The repairs are expected to last three months to allow for construction and proper drying of the new concrete pavement. Lagos State Traffic Management Authority officers will assist with traffic control during this period. Motorists are urged to cooperate with traffic officials and security agencies, and to plan for possible delays. The ministry apologised for any inconvenience caused.
