Tinubu Skips Lagos Project Launch to Attend Security Briefings

Tinubu Skips Lagos Project Launch to Attend Security Briefings

The Presidency says President Tinubu did not attend the launch of key Lagos projects because he was handling urgent security matters. His media adviser, Sunday Dare, told Channels Television that Tinubu remained in the state but focused on intelligence updates. Over the past ten days, especially after unrest in Jos, the President has received continuous security briefings. He has been working closely with security agencies nationwide and reviewing critical reports. Earlier, Lagos State adjusted traffic ahead of the inauguration of the Opebi-Mende Link Bridge and the Tolu Schools Complex in Ajegunle. Tinubu had arrived on April 2 after visiting Plateau State and briefly went to Ogun State on April 4 to commission the Gateway Cargo Airport and a Customs Service hub.

It does seem responsible to address security issues first before celebrating project openings, given current challenges.
