Federal High Court Convicts Two Ansaru Commanders on All 32 Terror and Kidnap Charges
A Federal High Court in Abuja has found Mahmud Al-Nigeri and Abu Baraa guilty on 32 counts of terrorism and kidnapping. Justice Emeka Nwite convicted the men after they changed their pleas and admitted guilt during Monday’s hearing. Relying on Section 274(2) of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, the judge ruled that a guilty plea is sufficient for conviction. Sentencing will be announced at a later date.
