Tinubu and South-West Governors to Commission Revamped Premier Hotel in Ibadan
President Bola Tinubu and Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde will join other South-West governors in Ibadan on Thursday to commission the newly redeveloped Premier Hotel. The 62-year-old landmark on Mokola Hill has undergone extensive modernisation by Odu’a Investment Company Limited. The project aims to restore the hotel’s status as a leading hospitality and tourism destination in the region. Established in 1963 by the former Western Region Government, the facility has hosted presidents, diplomats and business leaders. Its reopening marks a milestone in preserving a key piece of the old Western Region’s heritage. The redevelopment is expected to boost tourism, hospitality and economic activity across Oyo State and the entire South-West.
