Why Nollywood Can’t Freely Feature Afrobeats Tracks
Nigerian filmmaker and director Dami Twitch says Nollywood producers no longer have free access to Afrobeats songs in their films. On a popular podcast, he explained that many artists have signed publishing deals with foreign companies. He says only big studios or well-funded investors can now afford Afrobeats-filled soundtracks, putting the usual film-music synergy under pressure.
