Iku Residents Protest ‘Death Trap’ Road, Urge Governor Aiyedatiwa to Act

Residents of Iku Community in Akoko North-East LGA staged a peaceful protest on Sunday over the deplorable state of their roads. They carried placards declaring the Awara/Ikare-Akoko Stadium Road a “death trap” and pleaded for urgent government action. Protesters warned that the bad roads have halted farming and other economic activities. They appealed directly to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa to intervene and begin rehabilitation works. High Chief Mukaila Bello described the demonstration as a collective cry for help. He urged political leaders and public office holders in Ondo North Senatorial District to respond swiftly.
