Former SGF Warns: Electing Atiku Equates to Fulani Presidency

Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation Babachir Lawal says that if Atiku Abubakar wins, it will essentially be a Fulani presidency. Lawal resigned from the ADC amid claims of a flawed primary. He says his initial critique of Atiku drew waves of insults and threats from Fulani social media supporters. “Just as Tinubu’s term is seen as a Yoruba presidency, an Atiku victory would symbolise Fulani leadership,” he argued. Lawal insists that warning about potential risks is not an insult but a legitimate concern.
