BNXN Explains Move to the US: “Lagos Is Costlier Than LA”

Nigerian singer Daniel Benson, known as BNXN, has revealed why he chose to relocate to the United States. During a TikTok livestream, he said living expenses in Lagos have surpassed those in Los Angeles. He pointed out that aside from his $12,000 monthly rent in LA, everyday costs are much lower. He also noted the relative safety of US streets, saying no one has asked him for money since his arrival. In contrast, he described encounters with street beggars and hoodlums in Lagos as a constant financial and safety concern. BNXN’s comments highlight the growing debate over Nigeria’s cost of living and urban security challenges compared to life abroad.
