Dismissed Soldier Soja Boi Shows Pay Slips, Challenges Army to Publish Payroll
By Fawzi Kehinde Rotimi Olamilekan, known as Soja Boi, has produced bank transaction alerts to back his claims about low soldier wages. He challenged the Nigerian Army to release its payroll for public scrutiny. Olamilekan shared three alerts: a salary credit of ₦112,061.59, a ₦20,000 grumbling allowance, and a ₦45,000 operational allowance for active theatre deployment. He also mentioned a ₦6,000 security allowance and said uniforms and protective gear were not fully provided. The Army dismissed his allegations as misleading. It said soldiers receive uniforms, kits and allowances through official logistics and payroll systems. It denied any withholding of entitlements and described supplementary purchases as voluntary. Soja Boi, dismissed for alleged indiscipline, urged Nigerians to verify his claims and dared the military to make its payroll public.
