How I’m Building a Solo Web3 5-a-Side Fantasy Football Platform

I’m a full-stack developer and sports fan building a Web3 platform that blends fantasy sports, prediction markets, and digital collectibles into a 5-a-side football wagering game. Each player is an NFT minted at a price mirroring their real-world transfer value, and users create teams with fixed position limits to ensure fair play. Matches go live on an open feed, where anyone can accept a challenge by minting a counter team. Locked assets guarantee exclusivity per match. Outcomes reflect real-match performance: strikers score points, goalkeepers lose points when conceding, and winners claim opponents’ squads while draws unmint assets without penalty. We also support spectator betting in two modes. Bounty Hunt lets managers keep full risk and earn a share of the betting pool, while Shared Risk lets fans invest and share both risk and reward. I’m using TanStack Start for a fast React front end, Supabase for real-time off-chain logic, and Binance Smart Chain for low-fee, fast settlement. Feedback is welcome to refine this vision.

Linking NFT mint prices to real-world transfer values adds realism, but market volatility could cause huge price swings in your five-a-side fantasy game.

I appreciate the innovation, yet relying solely on NFTs might alienate users who prefer simpler fantasy interfaces without blockchain complexity.

Start with a limited collection of player NFTs at stable price tiers to test user interest before expanding into dynamic transfer-value pricing.
