Reject Propaganda, Embrace Truth: Ejiofor’s Appeal to Ndigbo
Human rights lawyer Sir Ifeanyi Ejiofor has urged Ndigbo to reject narratives that glorify violence and division. He warns that misinformation around the Biafra struggle has inflicted real harm on the people. He cites the wartime broadcasts of Okokon Ndem as a powerful example of how propaganda can distort facts and erode independent judgment. Ejiofor stresses that no cause can prosper on a foundation of manipulation. Ejiofor commends the new Directorate of State leadership under Mazi Chika Edoziem for prioritising discipline, strategic coordination and non-violent agitation. He argues that truth, transparency and accountability must guide any genuine push for self-determination. He reminds Ndigbo that history’s painful lessons demand wisdom over emotion and that lasting progress depends on strategic leadership and an unwavering commitment to human life and dignity.
