US Congress Considers $250 Bill Featuring Trump’s Portrait

Federal law currently bans living figures on currency, but a bill in Congress would make an exception. A Treasury spokesperson told the BBC the department is conducting due diligence while waiting for lawmakers to approve the change. If passed, the note would break another law restricting denominations above $100. Trump’s team has already moved to feature his likeness on passports and public buildings. The proposal still needs both the House and Senate sign-off before it becomes reality.
