Labour Party Chair Urges Issue-Based, Peaceful Campaigns Ahead of 2027

Labour Party National Chairman Nenadi Usman has urged political leaders to ensure the 2027 general elections are driven by ideas, peaceful engagement and national interest rather than hostility. Speaking in Jos during former Plateau State Governor Jonah Jang's 80th birthday celebration, Usman said political differences must not destroy Nigeria's unity or turn citizens into enemies. She called on parties and candidates to embrace issue-based campaigns and responsible leadership, while urging public office holders to put service and patriotism above personal ambition.
