Why ‘Once Saved, Always Saved’ Contradicts the Bible

I examine three anchor verses: Revelation 21:27, Ezekiel 3:20, and Hebrews 10:29. Each shows that living in sin can forfeit salvation. Revelation warns that those who defile themselves or lie cannot enter heaven. Ezekiel explains that failing to warn a sinner makes them die in sin and lose their righteousness. Hebrews states that trampling Christ’s sacrifice deserves a sorer punishment. This doctrine lacks scriptural support. It was spread by false teachers to deceive Christians into complacency. Real repentance and holy living remain essential. Salvation depends on how one lives until the end. In short, you cannot claim ‘once saved, always saved’ while persisting in unrepentant sin. Your final state determines your eternal destiny.

Absolutely, Revelation 21:27 and Hebrews 10:29 highlight risks for believers. That definitely shakes up the 'once saved' idea.

I understand the fear of abandoning grace, yet these verses might reflect accountability rather than conditional salvation.

Maybe it helps to study each anchor verse in its broader biblical context and consult commentaries before drawing conclusions.
