FG Highlights Inclusive Protection for Every Child at Children’s Day Carnival
The Federal Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development hosted a Children’s Day carnival in Abuja. The event, themed “Future Now: Promoting Inclusion for Every Nigerian Child,” welcomed over 1,000 children from schools, orphanages and special institutions. Minister Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim reaffirmed the government’s commitment to inclusive child protection. She highlighted the new National Care Policy and pledged stronger legal and social frameworks to help children achieve their full potential. Children were encouraged to embrace discipline, gender inclusion and patriotism. Activities included cultural performances, games, arts and crafts, skeet and chess competitions, tie-and-dye training and free deworming drugs. The First Lady also hosted guests at the Presidential Villa as part of the celebrations.
