TASUED Governing Council Appoints Prof. Samuel Oladipo as Vice-Chancellor

The Governing Council of Tai Solarin Federal University of Education has approved Professor Samuel Ekundayo Oladipo as its new Vice-Chancellor, effective May 5, 2026. He is the university’s sixth substantive leader and its third indigenous Vice-Chancellor. A foundation faculty member and Professor of Social Psychology, Oladipo brings over 20 years of experience. He has held roles as Director of Research and External Relations, Dean of Specialised and Professional Education, and Deputy Director of Academic Planning and Quality Assurance. He earned a postdoctoral fellowship at North-West University, South Africa, and has published more than 70 peer-reviewed articles. His work spans spirituality and health, gender-based violence, and interventions for survivors of child sexual abuse. Outside academia, he is a pastor and enjoys writing, swimming, and singing. He is married with children. The appointment was confirmed in a statement issued by the university Registrar.
