Hansi Flick Commits to Barcelona with New Two-Year Deal

Barcelona have announced that head coach Hansi Flick has signed a new two-year contract with an option for a third season. The 61-year-old German secured his second straight LaLiga title with a 2-0 win over Real Madrid. Speaking ahead of their trip to Alavés, Flick said he was delighted to stay on. “I’m very happy; it gives me the confidence to keep working for another year or two,” he explained. Since joining in summer 2024, Flick has racked up two league titles, one Copa del Rey and two Spanish Super Cups. His immediate goal is to push Barcelona past 100 league points by winning all three remaining matches. He also reiterated his Champions League ambition. “Everyone dreams of the Champions League. We will keep trying,” Flick added.
