Parcel Containing Bullets Delivered to First Bank MD’s Ikoyi Home

Parcel Containing Bullets Delivered to First Bank MD’s Ikoyi Home — 1 of 2
1 / 2

First Bank’s Managing Director was alarmed after security at his Ikoyi residence opened a confidential parcel containing two bullets. The package arrived amid the bank’s intensified loan recovery and restructuring effort. An insider said the ammunition, resembling AK-47 rounds, was taped inside an unmarked envelope addressed to the MD. The dispatch rider left no identifying information, and efforts to trace him through the delivery records have so far failed. The Lagos State Police and other security agencies have been notified. Investigators are reviewing CCTV footage and following leads to identify the sender and ensure the safety of the bank chief and his family.

It seems odd the bank's restructuring push and loan recoveries align with this strange parcel incident in Ikoyi.

I'm not convinced it was meant solely for intimidation; maybe misaddressed or testing courier protocols instead of targeted threat.

The bank should review security checks on incoming parcels and tighten protocols around confidential deliveries immediately.
