Super Falcons Target Historic ₦2.74B Prize at 2026 WAFCON

Defending champions Super Falcons head to Morocco aiming to retain their Women’s Africa Cup of Nations crown and secure one of African women’s football’s richest paydays. CAF has hiked the total prize fund by 67%, raising it from $3.475m to $5.8m (about ₦7.96bn). The winners will now pocket $2m (around ₦2.74bn), while runners-up and third place will also see significant increases. All 16 teams will benefit, with each assured at least $150,000 in participation fees. Nigeria’s record 10-time champions will not only chase continental glory but also qualification for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup. With the competition expanding and offering its largest-ever financial rewards, WAFCON 2026 promises to be the biggest edition yet.
