Igbo-Etiti Chairman Honoured as Ambassador of Safety and Humanity

The Chairman of Igbo-Etiti Council, Dr. Eric Odo, was decorated as Ambassador of Safety and Humanity in recognition of his outstanding community development work. The ceremony at the NSCDC Headquarters in Enugu also saw him named patron of the Destined Women and Child Foundation. Officials applauded Dr. Odo’s programmes, including monthly stipends for widows, widowers and persons with disabilities, as well as his major investment in local security infrastructure. He funded and equipped two NSCDC divisional headquarters and an area command post to bolster community safety. In his acceptance remarks, Dr. Odo pledged to sustain his human-centered governance and deepen support for the vulnerable. He also committed to partnering with the Foundation to expand humanitarian efforts across Igbo-Etiti.

Local groups should track the ambassador's initiatives closely and suggest measurable targets for safety and children's welfare progress.
