Nigerians Reject INEC’s Self-Investigation, Demand Independent Probe

Former NHRC chairman Chidi Odinkalu and SERAP have called for an external investigation, while Senate President Godswill Akpabio confirmed the tweet’s authenticity. Many Nigerians now question INEC’s competence to conduct digital forensic investigations. They say a neutral body should verify the evidence or that Amupitan should step aside pending a transparent probe.
