Lekan Fatodu Takes Helm of Nigeria Aquatics, Lagos Celebrates
The Lagos State Government has congratulated Lekan Fatodu on his elevation to President of the Nigeria Aquatics Federation. The appointment was announced last Friday by Bukola Olopade, Director-General of the National Sports Commission, to strengthen governance and accelerate development in aquatic sports. In a statement from the governor’s office, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu described the promotion as well deserved, citing Fatodu’s leadership and achievements at the Lagos State Sports Commission. The governor expressed confidence that Fatodu will leverage his new role to drive institutional reforms, enhance athlete development, and promote the growth of Nigeria’s aquatic sports sector.
