Jamie Vardy Claims Iheanacho and Ndidi Relied on ‘Juju Cream’ for Injury Recovery

Jamie Vardy Claims Iheanacho and Ndidi Relied on ‘Juju Cream’ for Injury Recovery — 1 of 2
1 / 2

Former Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy says Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi used a traditional Nigerian ointment to heal minor knocks during their time at the club. On his podcast, Vardy revealed the duo would fly home after injuries and return with a large tub of “juju cream” from a Nigerian witch doctor. The club masseuse was only allowed to apply that ointment to their injured areas. Ndidi now features for Turkish side Besiktas, while Iheanacho has gone on to win league and Cup titles with Celtic.

Did Jamie Vardy really confirm Iheanacho and Ndidi used traditional ointment to speed up their recovery, or is there more to the story?

What's the original source of Vardy's remark—did he say it in a press conference or was it hearsay?

This juju cream detail seems a bit sensational for minor knocks—clubs usually rely on physiotherapy and proven medical treatment, right?

I'm not convinced this traditional remedy played a major role in top-level recovery; professional sports medicine has stricter protocols.

Before trying any ointment out, make sure your club physio approves the ingredients, na health must always come first.
