ICPC Summons President’s Chief of Staff Over PFIPC Probe
A recent report states that the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) confirmed Mr Femi Gbajabiamila, the President’s Chief of Staff, attended its Abuja headquarters on Monday, 20 June 2026. He was invited to give a statement in connection with the ongoing probe into the purported Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC). President Bola Tinubu ordered the investigation after the PFIPC was discovered operating from the Federal Secretariat under one Adeniyi Adeyemi Matthew, who claimed to be its Director-General. The Presidency has since disowned the entity as fraudulent. Mr Gbajabiamila cooperated fully with investigators and was not arrested. The ICPC says its fact-finding efforts continue and that further updates will be issued as appropriate.
