XPeng GX Debuts as China’s First Full-Size Six-Seat EV SUV with L4 Autonomy
The XPeng GX is the brand’s flagship six-seat SUV built on the new SEPA 3.0 platform. It is offered in both pure electric (BEV) and extended-range (EREV) all-wheel-drive variants. XPeng bills it as China’s first consumer vehicle with production hardware ready for L4 autonomous driving. The BEV model packs a 110 kWh NMC battery for up to 750 km CLTC range and supports 800-volt 5C fast charging that can boost from 10 % to 80 % in about 12 minutes. The EREV version combines a 63.3 kWh LFP battery with a 1.5 L generator for 430 km pure-electric CLTC range and a total of 1,585 km. Priced at 399,800 yuan in China (roughly $58,000), grey-market imports to Nigeria are estimated around ₦130–150 million. The GX competes with models like the NIO ES8 and Li Auto L9 for buyers seeking premium cabin space, genuine six-seat layouts, and cutting-edge driver assistance in a single package.
