APC House of Reps Primaries: Major Winners and Surprising Defeats
The APC held its House of Representatives primaries on May 16, 2026. Voters turned out in large numbers as seasoned lawmakers and fresh aspirants battled for nominations. While many primaries were peaceful, protests erupted in Kaduna, Osun and Jos South over alleged manipulation. Some aspirants accused party officials of withholding materials from key strongholds.
