Phillies’ Alec Bohm Sues His Parents for Alleged Misuse of Over $1 Million
Philadelphia third baseman Alec Bohm filed a lawsuit on March 24. He alleges his parents diverted substantial sums from accounts set up in his name. They then used part of the money for personal expenses. Bohm claims they froze him out of four LLC accounts and shifted millions of dollars into their control. He also accuses them of tapping funds from his charitable foundation. His parents deny any wrongdoing. Their lawyer says they always acted in Alec’s best interests and that he had full account access. They plan to defend the case vigorously. In his complaint, Bohm seeks at least $3 million in damages, control of the disputed accounts, and a full accounting of all transfers. The matter now heads to the Philadelphia court.
