The One Mistake That Cost Me a Girl
I’d been talking to a beautiful but insecure girl who always needed attention. One Monday, she called and asked to see me. I was swamped with deliveries, but I put work on hold to pick her up. I took her to a lounge near my area and bought her a drink. A ₦7,000 job came in, so I left her in the bar and promised to return quickly. The task ran until 6pm, and by the time I got back she had already gone home. The next day a friend told me he saw her at the same lounge with another guy. I didn’t believe it at first, but I checked and found them together. She said she didn’t have airtime to call me. We argued, but she insisted nothing happened beyond a chat. A couple of days later she returned to see him again—still without calling me. I even joked with the guy and asked for his hotspot before leaving. Now he’s avoiding me. All because I chose a job over spending time with her.
