Apunren Community Praises Gbenga Daniel’s Role in Military Land Release

Apunren Community Praises Gbenga Daniel’s Role in Military Land Release

Residents of Apunren and surrounding villages in Ijebu North-East, Ogun State, have expressed deep gratitude to Senator Gbenga Daniel for stepping in to address a long-standing dispute over military-acquired lands. In a letter dated June 9, 2026, the Apunren Community Development Association hailed Daniel as the first leader to truly engage with affected residents. They highlighted his visits to local communities and his efforts in coordinating talks between the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions and military authorities. The group said his intervention restored hope and confidence that responsive leadership can secure justice. While disappointed he was not re-elected, they noted his service, compassion and commitment will continue to inspire people across Ogun East.
