Tairu Razaq Clinches Heavyweight Title at 15th Ogun Boxing Hall of Fame

The 15th Ogun Boxing Hall of Fame tournament took place at the Alake Sports Complex in Abeokuta. A 24-year-old fashion designer, Tairu Razaq, dominated all three rounds to defeat Talabi Samuel by unanimous decision and claim the heavyweight crown. In the men’s divisions, Waheed Olanrewaju edged out Victor Ojo in the 65 kg class, Quyum of Emirate Boxing Club beat Rokeem Oyakojo in 60 kg, Jamiu Alabi stopped Gabriel Emmanuel in the 50 kg bout, and Quyum Oyakojo won a split decision over Opeyemi Ogunwale at 55 kg. In the female events, Fathia Gafar took the 51 kg title, Omotolani Akinyemi won the 57 kg division, and Ayomide Mayowa outclassed Taofikat Adepoju to lift the 48 kg belt. The event was organised by the Ogun Boxing Hall of Fame in collaboration with the Ogun State Boxing Association.
